From April 14th until May 19th, 2021 Caritas Cambodia and the local Church able to provide food assistance to 9,000 poor and vulnerable families affected by the global pandemic includes constructions workers, garment factory workers, garbage collector, Cyclo, and moto-dup groups, fisherman people whose living on a daily basis in different lockdown areas of Phnom Penh and Takhmao Town. Very much thanks to our Donors, Friends, and colleagues for your solidarity and kindness during this difficult moment. Our little actions are to reduce human suffering, protecting their rights, and lift-up the human dignity of the poor and needy.     In response to the current Covid 19 Situation of Cambodia, Caritas Cambodia and Local Catholic Church provide 4 million Masks and hygiene materials to local authorities, ministries, poorest communities, Parishes in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kompong Cham, Battambang, Siem Reap, Sihanouk Ville, Takeo, Banteay Meanchey and some affected provinces to combat Corona Virus in the Kingdom. Special Thanks to Arch Bishop Joseph of Saigon and Caritas Vietnam for their solidarity and supports.

Ms. Hang Rady give speak during the International Women's Day at Youth Development Program Center, Kandal province.
 
As every year we always celebrate the International Women’s Day that falls on March 8, however this year, Caritas Cambodia’s Youth Development Program and Caritas National Office on Friday 6 March 2020 outlined a key message in the run-up to celebrating the 109th anniversary of International Women’s Day, under the theme “Peace Promotes Gender Equality” with beloved 150 participants from the Cambodia Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH) staff, YDP staff, parents of a disabled child with special needed, local authority, youth, senior youth, and Caritas National office staff.
This important event is led by Ms. Hang Rady, Assistant Director of Caritas Cambodia at Youth Development Program Center, Kandal province. Gender and Anti-trafficking Manager Ms. Tek Sopheak said the aim at the pre-anniversary celebration at the Center is twofold, firstly, To take part in the fight against absolute trafficking in all forms of human trafficking, labor exploitation Promote the protection of basic human rights, especially the rights of women and children, and together build peace. Secondly, To establish a meeting between teachers, graduated youths and youth who are learning skills in Youth Development Programs of Caritas Cambodia to connect, communicate, solidify and create a culture of sharing.
